Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">(1) & (2) Polypoid lesions formed of hyperplastic intact colonic glands with preserved mucigenic activity. Stroma is fibrotic and shows mild chronic inflammatory reaction composed of lymphocytes and plasma cells with lymphoid follicles. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of crypt abscesses. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Small pre-splenic colonic polyp with rectal flattened polypoid lesions.</p>
<p>Two biopsies were received:</p><p class="ql-align-justify">1- Splenic polyp: two soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.6 cm, totally embedded.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">2- Rectal polyp: soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.2 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Pre-splenic and Rectal polyps, excision:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Hyperplastic polyps, inflamed. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for dysplasia and malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
