<p class="ql-align-justify">Smear shows a marked number of neutrophils and small lymphocytes with many cell debris and scattered histocytes. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells.</p>
<p>Right side pneumothorax.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">One smear was prepared and pap stained from submitted one ml pale yellow fluid with pus.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Pleural fluid, conventional cytology:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Marked (suppurative) inflammatory changes. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignant cells.</strong></li><li><strong>Category Class II according to The International System for Reporting Serous Fluid Cytopathology.</strong></li></ul>
