<p>Parts of cyst wall partially lined by non-keratinizing squamous epithelium with dense infiltration of wall by lymphocytes, plasma cells, macrophages and neutrophils. This inflammation extending to surrounding bony tissue. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of malignancy.</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">An ill-defined, infected cystic lesion measuring 5 cm × 3 cm in the maxilla extending into the palatal area, associated with adjacent teeth without root resorption, which was initially painless but became painful 3 months ago.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.2x1x0.7 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Maxillary lesion:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Radicular cyst, inflamed.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul><p><br></p>
