Diagnosis
<p>One fragment shows totally ulcerated mucosa associated with fibrin and dense inflammatory reaction rich in of neutrophils admixed with lymphocytes and plasma cells with capillary proliferation. Other fragment shows gastric polypoid mucosa showing focal ulceration with related moderate infiltration by lymphocytes and plasma cells . H. pylori characteristic forms are seen colonizing glands. In addition there is interglandular atypical round cell infiltrate which could be inflammatory or neoplastic. Marker study (LCA, CK, CD20, Synaptophysin and Ki-67) for definitive verification of these round cells.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Many gastric ulcers with polypoid corpal mass.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Two soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.4 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><u>Stomach, endoscopic biopsy.:</u></strong></p><ul><li><strong>H. pylori-associated hyperplastic polyp, inflamed and ulcerated + Septic granulation tissue. </strong></li><li><strong>Associated interglandular round cell infiltrate.</strong></li><li><strong>Recommended for typing by marker study. </strong></li></ul>
