Microscopic Description
Diagnosis
<p>1- Fibrotic cyst wall showing broad and sessile fibrotic projections covered by non-mucigenic low cells. Rest of cyst wall is lined by same type of cells. No evidence of epithelial piling up. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">2- Myometrial tumor is a benign moderately cellular leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. No evidence of tumor necrosis. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Lt ovarian cyst.</p>
<p>Two specimens were received:</p><p>1- Lt ovarian cyst: measured 15x9x9 cm, with a smooth outer surface and an attached fallopian tube measuring 7 cm long. opening revealed yellowish serous fluid and solid area 3.5x1.5x0.5 cm.</p><p>2- One fibroid mass 0.7x0.6x0.5 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Lt ovarian cystectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Ovarian serous cystadenofibroma.</strong></li><li><strong>Fallopian tube is unremarkable.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><em><u>Myomectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Cellular leiomyoma.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
