Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Hepatic tissue cores extensively infiltrated by an epithelial tumor arranged in nests, cords, trabeculae, and variably formed glandular structures within a desmoplastic fibrous stroma. The tumor cells are medium to large with moderate eosinophilic cytoplasm, pleomorphic hyperchromatic nuclei, conspicuous nucleoli, and moderate nuclear atypia. Mitotic figures are readily identified. The overall morphologic features are consistent with a moderately differentiated (Grade 2) adenocarcinoma. In view of the patient's clinical history of previously diagnosed breast carcinoma, the morphology is compatible with metastatic adenocarcinoma, favoring breast primary. Immunohistochemical studies are recommended to confirm the site of origin (GATA3, ER, PR, HER2).</p>

<p><strong><em><u>Hepatic focal lesion, guided core biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Metastatic moderately differentiated (Grade 2) adenocarcinoma, favoring metastasis from the previously diagnosed breast primary.</strong></li><li><strong>Marker study is recommended to confirm the primary site of origin.</strong></li></ul>
