Extensively ulcerated mucosal fragments with related dense dermal diffuse infiltrate formed of small to intermediate sized lymphocytes with intervening scattered histiocytes and plasma cells. There is superimposed inflammatory ulceration with dense neutrophils. Marker study (CD20, CD3, Bcl2, CD138, CD30, CD56 and Ki-67) is needed to establish definitive diagnosis regarding this dense infiltrate.
Widespread ulcerations involving lips, tongue, Rt buccal mucosa, oropharynx, epiglottis, nasopharynx, larynx, and esophagus. Biopsy taken from right buccal mucosa and base of tongue.
Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1x0.8x0.5 cm, totally embedded.
