Gastric mucosa showing mild atrophy of glands and moderate infiltration by lymphocytes and plasma cells. There is evidence of inflammatory activity manifested by neutrophils infiltrating glands, however H. pylori characteristic forms are not seen. No evidence of intestinal metaplasia, atypia or malignancy.
A strip of esophageal mucosa is included in the biopsy showing hyperplastic stratified squamous epithelium. No evidence of dysplasia or malignancy in examined material.
