Myometrial tumor is a benign leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. No evidence of tumor necrosis. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. Endometrium is non-secretory, it is formed of slightly branching lined by 1-2 layers of cells. Stroma is cellular. No evidence of complex glandular pattern. Islands of these endometrial glands and stroma are seen entrapped within deep myometrium. Cervix shows moderate chronic ectocervicitis. Rt and Lt ovaries corpus luteum cysts, cystic follicles and corpora albicans. Both tubes are unremarkable. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.
Panhysterectomy
Panhysterectomy specimen: the uterus measured 8x8x7.8 cm with a myometrial thickness of 2.5 cm and an endometrial thickness of 0.5 cm, showing focal trabeculation and intramural fibroid mass measuring 7x6x6 cm, having a solid, rubbery, whitish cut section. Cervix is 2.5 cm long. The left ovary measured 2.3x1.5x1 cm, grossly unremarkable. The right ovary measured 3x2x1.5 cm, showing 4 unilocular cysts the largest measured 0.8 cm, filled with gelatinous material. Both fallopian tubes measured 5 cm in length, and are grossly unremarkable
