Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Thyroid gland shows nodular hyperplasia where follicles are variable in size, full of thick colloid and lined by mature epithelium. There is focal follicular cystic change. Stroma shows fibrosis, interstitial hemorrhage and cholesterol crystals deposition. No evidence of hyperfunction or malignancy.</p>
<p>Enlarged thyroid gland. FNAC suspicious for papillary thyroid carcinoma.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Total thyroidectomy specimen showing Rt lobe measuring 9x4x3 cm, Lt lobe measuring 8x4.5x3.5 cm and isthmus measured 2x2 cm. Serial sectioning revealed Rt lobe multiple nodules ranging in size from 0.6 cm to 1. 8x1.5 cm and multiple nodules in the Lt lobe ranging in size from 0.7x0.6 cm to 1.5x1 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Total thyroidectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Nodular colloid hyperplasia. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
