Submitted fragments showing focally ulcerated rectal mucosa with focally reduced mucigenic cells and dense infiltration by lymphocytes, plasma cells and neutrophils. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of crypt abscesses. Picture is consistent with solitary rectal ulcer. No evidence of malignancy.
