Microscopic Description

Diagnosis

1- Endometrium is hyperplastic and non-secretory. It is formed of moderately branching and focally crowded glands separated by cellular stroma and lined by 2-3 layers of cells. Glandular epithelium exhibits focal mild atypia. However, no evidence malignancy. No evidence of complex glandular pattern. Some of these hyperplastic glands are seen embedded within superficial myometrium. Myometrial tumor is a benign leiomyoma formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. No evidence of tumor necrosis. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. Cervix shows napothian cyts and mild endocervicitis. Lt. ovarian mass show a benign ovarian stromal tumor formed of irregular bundles of proliferating fibrocytes. Cellularity is moderate to marked. No evidence of anaplasia and mitosis is not active. Rt ovary shows corpora albicans and cystic follicles. Both fallopian tubes are unremarkable. 2- Polypoid mucosal fragments showing a hypocellular, edematous, and myxoid stroma containing a proliferation of bland spindle-shaped and stellate cells.The stromal cells are haphazardly arranged and exhibit uniform, oval-to-tapered nuclei with delicate chromatin and indistinct, pale cytoplasm. No significant nuclear pleomorphism, hyperchromasia, or prominent nucleoli are identified. Mitotic figures are not conspicuous.The stroma is characterized by loose, textured myxoid change with delicate collagen fibers. The background is vascularized by numerous small-to-medium caliber, thin-walled blood vessels scattered throughout the lesion. There is a sparse, scattered chronic inflammatory infiltrate consisting primarily of lymphocytes. No necrosis is identified.
