<p class="ql-align-justify">Preparations show a dense population of neutrophils with some small lymphocytes as well as reactive mesothelial cells. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells.</p>
<p>Pleural fluid for cytology.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Two slides were prepared from submitted 50 ml yellowish fluid.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Pleural fluid, conventional cytology: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Marked (suppurative) inflammatory changes</strong></li><li><strong> Negative for malignant cells. </strong></li><li><strong> Category II according to International System for reporting serous fluid Cytopathology (ISRSFC). </strong></li></ul>
