Gastroesophageal junction biopsy is dominantly showing inflamed gastric mucosa body type with other fragments showing completely necrotic with ghosts of rounded cells. These cells are suspicious of necrotic tumor. Another larger and deeper biopsy taken from sites away from the necrotic center of the esophageal mass is recommended to establish definitive diagnosis.
