Tumor Extent: Tumor invades renal sinus fat and perinephric fat. Renal pelvis is not infiltrated by the tumor.
Margins: All margins negative for tumor (including ureteric margin).
Lymphovascular Invasion: present
Regional Lymph Nodes: Not submitted
Left renal lower pole lesion extending to upper ureter, infiltrating lower major calyx and lower inferior renal pelvic wall.
The specimen is received designated as "Left Kidney and Bladder" and consists of a left kidney measuring 10.5x6.5x5 cm, with an attached ureter 13 cm in length and a bladder cuff measuring 1.8x1.5 cm. Serial sectioning reveals a solid, firm, creamy-coloured mass measuring 5x4.5x3.8 cm. The mass is surrounded by fat tissue measuring 8x2.3 cm.
