<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections reveal fragments of gastric mucosa with some of them showing lamina propria extensively infiltrated by a diffuse proliferation of discohesive atypical cells, exhibiting prominent, large intracytoplasmic vacuoles that displace and compress the nuclei against the cell membrane (signet-ring morphology). These cells display nuclear hyperchromasia and pleomorphism. No definitive gland formation or extracellular mucin pools are identified. Background shows H pylori associated moderate chronic gastritis with moderate inflammatory activity and focal intestinal metaplasia.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Picture is highly suggestive of poorly cohesive carcinoma, signet ring cell type, recommended for confirmatory immunohistochemical studies (CK, CD20, CD3, CD68).</p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p><p class="ql-align-justify"><br></p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Gastric Cardiac stenosis by firm tissues involving pericardial area, extending to funds and body of stomach with coarse mucosa.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.2 cm, totally embedded.</p>
