<p class="ql-align-justify">Submitted biopsy is superficial shows extensively ulcerated mucosa with related vascular endothelial proliferation and dense infiltration by neutrophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells admixed with many cell debris and bacterial colonies. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of malignancy. </p>
<p>Biopsy from uvula and nasopharynx.</p>
<p>Soft tissue pieces collectively measuring 2 x 1.5 x 0.8 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Biopsy from uvula and nasopharynx.</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Active inflammatory ulceration with septic granulation tissue. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy</strong>.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>COMMENT</strong>:</p><h5>Follow up endoscopy and re-biopsy after treatment of inflammation is advised to exclude unsampled more serious pathology.</h5>
