Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">Polypoid lesion composed of hyperplastic endocervical mucous glands and Nabothian cysts, covered by focally ulcerated columnar endocervical epithelium with related areas of squamous metaplasia. Stroma is fibrotic and vascular and shows focal infiltration by inflammatory cells. No evidence of endometrial tissue . No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Non-secretory endometrium formed of branching glands lined by 1-2 layers of cells. Stroma is cellular. Picture is consistent with anovulatory cycle. The observed changes represent endometrial architectural changes as a result of unopposed estrogenic stimulation in such anovulatory cycle. No evidence of endometritis. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Cervical polyp.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Polyp measuring 2x1.3x0.8 cm, totally embedded. Also received D & C biopsy composed of soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1x1x0.7 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify"><strong><em><u>Cervical polypectomy with D & C Biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify"><strong>Inflamed hyperplastic endocervical polyp with Nabothian cysts and squamous metaplasia, Negative for atypia. </strong></li><li><strong>Disordered proliferative endometrium (endometrium with architectural changes of unopposed estrogen of anovulatory cycle). Negative for atypia. </strong></li></ul>
