Gastric mucosa showing areas of superficial erosions and moderate infiltration by lymphocytes and plasma cells. Neutrophils are seen infiltrating glands thus indicating activity. H. pylori characteristic forms are present. Focal intestinal metaplasia is observed. There is no evidence of atypia or malignancy.
Vomiting of blood. Endoscopy: panerythema gastropathy with multiple prepyloric erosions.
