Diagnosis
<p>Soft tissues of neck show a tubular structure lined by simple or stratified columnar epithelium. Lining is focally ulcerated with related mild inflammatory reaction. Wall of the cyst shows focally unremarkable thyroid follicles. No evidence of malignancy.</p>
<p>Midline neck cyst. ? TGC</p>
<p>Soft tissue fragment 2x1.5 with attached bone 0.7x0.5 cm. Cut section showing a cyst 1.5xx1 cm attached to the bone, contains viscid material with intact capsule. </p>
<p><strong><em><u>Neck cyst, excision: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Thyroglossal duct cyst, inflamed.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
