Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">1- Fibrotic cyst wall lined by a single layer of cuboidal non-mucigenic cells. No evidence of epithelial piling up or cytological atypia. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">2- Smears are hemorrhagic and show a paucicellular background composed predominantly of proteinaceous fluid with scattered macrophages with hemosiderin-laden forms, occasional inflammatory cells, and rare benign epithelial cells; no cytologic atypia or malignant cells are identified.</p>
<p>Lt. ovarian cyst.</p>
<p>Two containers were received:</p><p>1- Received opened cyst 11x8x3 cm, with smooth outer surface.</p><p>2- Twenty ml of bloody fluid; one smear was prepared and stained.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Lt ovarian cystectomy and aspiration cytology: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Simple serous cyst.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
