Microscopic Description
Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">A unilocular cystic structure embedded within a fibromuscular stroma. The cyst is lined by benign, non-keratinizing stratified squamous epithelium, consistent with the lining of the distal paraurethral ducts, showing orderly maturation with a distinct basal layer and no evidence of cytologic atypia or dysplasia. The underlying cyst wall consists of dense fibrovascular connective tissue admixed with smooth muscle bundles and exhibits a mild, chronic lymphoplasmacytic inflammatory infiltrate.</p>
<p>Vaginal (skene gland) cyst.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Cyst wall partialy covered by skin measured 6.8c4.5x2.8 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Vaginal cystectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Benign paraurethral (Skene's) duct cyst, Inflamed. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
