<p class="ql-align-justify">A benign well encapsulated tumor formed of small and large follicles full of colloid and lined by unremarkable cuboidal cells. Adjacent thyroid tissue is compressed. No evidence of hyperfunction or malignancy. </p>
<p>Left thyroid swelling.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Lt hemithyroidectomy measuring 4x3x1.8 cm with intact capsule. Serial sectioning revealed rubbery whitish nodule measured 2.8x2x1.7 cm.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Lt thyroid nodule, Lt hemithyroidectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Follicular adenoma. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
