1 - Myometrial tumors are benign leiomyomas formed of whorly bundles of mature smooth muscles separated by a fibrous stroma. Largest one is cellular. No evidence of malignancy.
2- Curette shows Polypoid lesion composed of hyperplastic endocervical mucous glands and covered by columnar endocervical epithelium. Stroma is fibrotic and vascular and shows focal infiltration by inflammatory cells. Other fragment shows mid secretory endometrium, glands are lined by a single layer of columnar cells showing occasional supranuclear vacuolations. Stroma is edematous and lacks predecidual changes. No evidence of endometritis. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.
Irregular uterine bleeding.
Two containers were received :
1- Multiple fibroid masses collectively measured 15x13x5 cm, the largest measured 7x6x5 cm, having solid firm rubbery whitish cut section.
2- Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.7x1.5x0.6 cm, totally embedded.
