<p class="ql-align-justify">Gall bladder tissue sectons showing extensively ulcerated mucosa with related marked dense infiltration by mature lymphocytes admixed with plasma cells, macrophages and many neutrophils with formation of numerous microabcesses. Such dense infiltration is extending to peri-cholecystic fat with related vascular congestion and interstitial hemorrhage with fibrosis.No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of malignancy.</p>
<p>Acute cholecystitis.</p>
<p>Gall bladder measured 7x2.5 cm, showing ulcerated mucisa and thickened wall up to 0.4 cm. The specimen was totally submitted.</p>
<p><strong><u>Cholecystectomy:</u></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Acute on top of chronic cholecystitis.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
