Sections of gastric wall show disrupted fibro-adipose and smooth muscle tissue with extensive acute and chronic inflammation extending into the perigastric fat. There is prominent fat necrosis, accompanied by hemorrhage, fibrin deposition, and granulation tissue formation consistent with an organizing serositis. No malignancy is identified.
