<p class="ql-align-justify">Appendicular lumen is full of neutrophils that extend into wall in between the mucosal associated lymphoid tissue together with lymphocytes and plasma cells. Such infiltrate extends to periappendicular fat. No evidence of specific granulomas. No evidence of appendicular tumors.</p>
<p>Acute appendicitis.</p>
<p>Appendicecetomy specimen measured 7 cm long with attached mesentry. wall thickness measured 0.3 cm. The specimen was totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Appendectomy: </u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Acute (suppurative) on top of chronic appendicitis with periappendicitis.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
