Microscopic Description
Diagnosis
<p>Seminiferous tubules showing average number of spermatogenic cells with minimal thickening of their basement membranes and partial arrest of maturation. 50% of tubules show arrest of maturation at the spermatids level while 30% of tubules show arrest of maturation at early spermatocyte level. Mature sperms seen in 20% of the tubules are about 5-15/tubule. Interstitial cells are intact. No evidence of inflammation.</p>
<p>Infertility.</p>
<p>Received specimen in formalin fixative consisting one soft tissue fragment measuring in total 1 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm, totally embedded in one cassette.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Rt testicular biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Mild germ hypoplasia with partial maturation arrest.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy.</strong></li></ul>
