<p class="ql-align-justify">Focally ulcerated colonic mucosa with mild reduction in the number of mucigenic cells and mild infiltration by lymphocytes, plasma cells and neutrophils. However, crypt abscesses are not identified. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells in submitted material.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">Given clinical findings regarding presence of mass lesion, this biopsy is possibly non-representative and rebiopsy from the mass lesion is recommended to avoid missing of unsampled more serious pathology.</p>
<p>Ulcerating mass lesion on the hepatic flexure</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.2 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<h3><strong><em><u>Colonoscopic biopsy:</u></em></strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Mild chronic colitis with minimal inflammatory activity and focal superficial erosions. </strong></li><li><strong>Negative for epithelial dysplasia. </strong></li><li><strong>Possibly non-representative, recommended for rebiopsy from mass lesion. </strong></li></ul>
