Sections from both testes show seminiferous tubules lined by Sertoli cells only with no evidence of spermatogenic cells, spermatogenic activity or mature sperms. Interstitial cells are intact. Epididymis and spermatic cord are unremarkable. No evidence of inflammation. No evidence of malignancy.
Bilateral testicular atrophy.
Specimen Received: Two containers labeled "Right Orchidectomy" and "Left Orchidectomy".
1. Right Testis (Rt Orchidectomy): measuring 3.5x2 x1.5 cm. An attached portion of the spermatic cord is identified, measuring 1.5 cm in length. Sectioning revealed testicular tissue measuring 2x2 cm. No masses are grossly identified.
2. Left Testis (Lt Orchidectomy): measuring 2.5x2x1.5 cm. Sectioning reveals testicular tissue measuring approximately 2.2x2 cm. No masses are grossly identified.
