<p class="ql-align-justify">Preparations are hemorrhagic and show a dense population of neutrophils with some small lymphocytes as well as many cell debris. No evidence of atypical or malignant cells.</p>
<p>Bilateral chest empyema.</p>
<p>Two samples were received:</p><p class="ql-align-justify">1- Rt pleural fluid: 10 ml creamy fluid with pus, one smear was prepared and stained.</p><p class="ql-align-justify">2- Lt pleural fluid: 8 ml greyish fluid with pus, one smear was prepared and stained.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Bilateral pleural fluid, cytology:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Hemorrhagic, Marked (suppurative) inflammatory changes.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignant cells.</strong></li><li><strong>Category II according to The International System for Reporting Serous Fluid Cytology, ISRSFC.</strong></li></ul>
