<p class="ql-align-justify">Polypoid mucosa showing focally respiratory pseudostratified columnar ciliated and non keratinized squamous epithelium with related diffuse and dense infiltration by plasma cells and few lymphocytes and occasional neutrophils. Few of the plasma cells show abundant dense eosinophilic cytoplasm (Russel bodies) but no evidence of foamy and clear macrophages (Mikulicz' cells). However, rhinoscleroma is still suspected and a confirmatory microbiological studies are recommended. No evidence of malignancy.</p>
<p>Lt chronic suppurative otitis media with tissue filling middle ear.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.3x1x0.6 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Middle ear lesion, biopsy :</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Dense chronic inflammation (plasma cell-rich), suspicious of rhinoscleroma.</strong></li><li><strong>Recommended for confirmatory microbiological studies.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
