Subcutaneous tissue shows a small benign nodular tumor (3x3 mm) formed of solid groups of rounded cells with uniform small nuclei. Cells are arranged around thin walled vascular spaces. No evidence of malignancy
A patient presents with a chronic, three-year history of a painful, pigmented subungual lesion on the Lt fourth digit. The planned surgical management involves a total nail avulsion followed by an excisional biopsy of the affected nail bed.
Two soft tissue fragments collectively measured 0.4x0.3 cm, totally embedded.
Also received a separate nail measured 1.5x1.2 cm, totally embedded.
