<p class="ql-align-justify">Sections reveal focally ulcerated gastric mucosal fragments infiltrated by an invasive poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. The tumor is composed of crowded poorly formed glands, ill-defined groups and sheets of malignant epithelial cells demonstrating nuclear enlargement, hyperchromasia, pleomorphism, and prominent nucleoli with active mitosis. These neoplastic structures are set within a desmoplastic background.</p>
<p>Gastric mass.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 1.2 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em>Gastric mass, endoscopic biopsy :</em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, grade 3.</strong></li></ul>
