Microscopic Description
Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">A benign tumor formed of proliferating fibroblastic meningothelial cells with focal whorling. Tumor shows few foci of microcalcification (psammoma bodies). Cytoplasm is scanty and cell borders are ill-defined. No evidence of atypia or malignancy. This is a WHO grade I meningioma. </p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Second brain tumor debulking surgery one year after the initial procedure, resulting in the removal of a 250-gram tissue sample</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Soft tissue fragments collectively measured 18x15x3.3 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Intracranial mass, excision biopsy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Fibrous meningioma (CNC WHO grade 1).</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy. </strong></li></ul>
