Diagnosis
<p class="ql-align-justify">A benign polypoid lesion of anal canal origin, it is covered by partially ulcerated non-keratinizing stratified squamous epithelium. Core is fibrotic and shows dilated congested veins (hemorrhoids). There is focal infiltration of core of polyp by ilymphocytes, plasma cells and neutrophils. No evidence of atypia or malignancy.</p>
<p>Anal verge polyp.</p>
<p class="ql-align-justify">Polyp measured 1x0.5x0.3 cm, totally embedded.</p>
<p><strong><em><u>Anal verge polypectomy:</u></em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Fibroepithelial polyp with hemorrhoids, inflamed with ulceration.</strong></li><li><strong>Negative for malignancy</strong></li></ul>
